For any $f\in L^2(\mathbb{R})$, we define $A: L^2(\mathbb{R})\rightarrow L^2(\mathbb{R})$ by $A(f)(x)=f(|x|)$. How to calculate the operator norm of $A$ and what is the adjoint of $A$?
