After studying vectors we were given a sheet with questions to practice for exams. There is one question which I don't understand how they got that answer.

Question : Consider the plane with equation 4x-2y-z=1 and the line given by the parametric equations

x = 3-2t

y = (2k-1)+t

z = -1+kt

Given that the line is perpendicular to the plane, find a) the value of k ;

Any help in advance would be appreciated thanks.

The answer is K = 1/2 if you want to check if you solved it correctly.
