Volume of a solid by slicing

I am so confused on how to find the height of my problem. The problem states: Find the volume of the solid by the method of slicing. The base is a circle of radius 8; slices made perpendicular to the base are squares. See the figure.

I believe that the Volume equation is: $\int_{-8}^8 (64-x^2)dx$.

But I am so confused on the height and how to get it. Can someone please help me?
