According to: http://library.msri.org/books/Book42/files/golomb.pdf from 2002, It is conjectured that in 5x5x5 Tic Tac Toe (standard rules), the second player ('O') can force a draw in a perfect play.
Are there any updates since then?
Also, are there any updates on 4x4x4x4x4, where it is conjectured that the first player ('X') has an easy win?
