The definition of an irreducible representation $(\rho, V) $ is one with no subrepresentations.
Am I correct in saying that a absolutely irreducible means "it is irreducible over the algebraic closure of the ground field?"
Also implying "absolutely irreducible $\implies$ irreducible" holds.
