Consider a continuous function $f:\mathbb{R}^n\to\mathbb{R}$ and standard topology. Let $O\subseteq\mathbb{R}$ be an open set. Under what conditions we have: $$ cl(f^{-1}(O))=f^{-1}(cl(O)) $$
