I've heard a lot about $\mathrm{Spec}(\mathbf{Q})$ (see for example Minhyong Kim's answer here), but $\mathbf{Q}$ is a field. So isn't $\mathrm{Spec}(\mathbf{Q})$ trivial? What's the point of studying it?
