Can a function be represented as 2 different power series

Find the power series representation for ()=1/x+2 cant i write the power series as $$ f(x) = \frac{1}{x+2}. $$ so I am a little confused because cant I write the series as $$ f(x) = \frac{1}{1-(-x-1)} \quad or \quad f(x) =\frac{1}{2} \frac{1}{1-(\frac{-x}{2})} $$ these different representations results in different intervals of convergence can someone help me
